An ungrateful passenger gave the finger to two pilots who had just landed a stricken plane safely.
Other passengers hailed the pilots as heroes after an engine failure on board a Flybe flight from Glasgow to Birmingham.
But one irate woman took out her fury at being delayed on them after they safely returned the plane to Glasgow.
She stunned onlookers by sticking up a middle finger at them as she walked past in the terminal.
One witness said: “No one could believe their eyes. These two guys have just saved the plane and everyone on it and this is the thanks they get.
“She was obviously angry at being late for some appointment or something so she made the rude gesture at the two of them as she stormed past in the terminal.
“What an idiot. To say people were shocked by her is an understatement.”
Passenger John MacInnes tweeted about the mid-flight incident on Thursday.
He wrote: “Oh, s***. Number one engine has failed and we’re returning to Glasgow for an emergency landing.”
He later wrote: “Down safe and sound, thanks to the professionalism of our pilots. Excellent flying from, I believe, two former RAF pilots.”
The onlooker said: “The woman’s rudeness just shows you the kind of nonsense people have to put up with. If it was up to me, she would be banned from flying.”
A Flybe spokeswoman said: “The flight returned to Glasgow following a technical fault that resulted in the captain electing to shut down number one engine as a safety precaution.”
